We contacted the A.C. Raíz de fondo to support them in the improvement of their school gardens, through the construction of picnic tables where students could learn next to the garden.
We worked in 6 schools, with 120 participants, resulting in 24 picnic tables. The tables are ideal for having lunch, taking classes outside and taking a break.
We saw the participants excited and motivated to continue building more furniture for the school and for their homes, and we noticed changes in the perception about the use of tools, especially with children and women who are not always given the opportunity to learn to use them.
